Information Sheet

Location: University of Mobile, Thomas T. Martin Hall. Click here for map of campus
Deadline for Receipt of Entry Materials: January 12, 2010.

The following items must be submitted at the time of registration:
  1. Sonata Contest Entry Form
  2. Sonata Contest Certificate List
  3. Two long, self-adressed, stamped business envelopes
  4. One check or money order payable to:
    Mobile Music Teachers Association.
  5. A 3x5 WHITE ruled index card for each student. Type or print the following information on each index card. Observe samples below. 4x6 Cards not accepted.
    1. Name of Entrant
    2. Level of Sonata
    3. Composer's last name (For Level 20, College and Adult levels include the following: Opus Number, movement, key, and performance time)
    4. Years of contest participation including this year
    5. Teacher's first and last name
    6. A check for lunch made payable to MMTA. (If you are working the entire day.) The amount will be announced.

As soon as possible, you will receive in the mail:
  1. A Master Schedule - The reverse side, which is the schedule by level, is the only page to be copied and distributed to parents for their information.
  2. Your Certificate List indicating the level and performance number of each student.
  3. A Student/Parent Letter to be copied, completed, and distributed to each of your students. Students must present this letter on the day of registration.
